Notts County call their home games off - Sunday 17th Dec

1 year ago By Jeff Daws

Frozen pitches in Nottingham - away games cancelled by Notts County.

On Saturday at 12 noon, Notts County got in contact to inform us that they had taken the decision to cancel the U10, U12, U14, U16 games that were due be played in Nottingham on Sunday morning. This is because the pitches are frozen.

** Notts County's U18 youth team home fixture v Bradford City U18s on Saturday morning at 11am was called off due to a frozen pitch - this was after a pitch inspection at 10am when Bradford arrived.

Scunthorpe United U15/16s were due to play Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday morning at 10.30am, however, the game was cancelled due to a frozen pitch at St Lawrence Academy.

Please note - Scunthorpe United Academy staff want all games to be played and do not want any games to be called off, however we can do nothing at all about the weather conditions and as always the safety and welfare of our players is our first priority when making the decision whether games should go ahead or not. Unfortunately if games are cancelled due to frozen pitches it is no-one's fault.
